“As a healthcare professional, I can attest to the outstanding day care services my mother is getting at Old Glory Days in Sandy Hook, CT. Ms. Emily Slattery has developed an outstanding program that caters to the individual needs of her clients and their families. Her compassionate and attentive style are a winning combination that has given our family the peace of mind in knowing my mother is well cared for throughout the day.”

“My father in law moved in with us in February of this past year and he suffered through some difficult health episodes as a result of Lewy Body’s disease. It was a few months of hospitalization, rehab and in home therapy. After his recovery from these episodes, we were looking for an environment outside the home for him to visit a couple of times a week. Old Glory was recommended to us by the agency that we were using for home health care for my father in law. Emily and her staff are great. We knew he was in good hands with them and that we didn’t need to worry. Emily went above and beyond to help him and us. She communicated with us frequently and really was a great resource to call upon. His time with Emily and her staff were invaluable for him and his social needs to interact with his peers. It also helped us cope with the difficulty of taking care of an elderly parent with memory impairment and physical limitations related to his disease. Old Glory became another extension of our family and the overall care plan while my father in law lived with us. We are so grateful for all their assistance and support during a difficult time.”

“For us the most important feature of ‘Old Glory Days’ is that it provides an opportunity for socialization to those involved in a safe, caring, and personalized environment. This along with the limited size of the group provides very much of a family feel. There is considerable thought put into the group programs offered. The staff are very supportive and helpful where a participant has limitations. The fact that there are people of different ages including youngsters, some of the time, we see as a plus. The cost of the program is very reasonable and the facility meets the needs of the program very well. Highly recommended.”

“It’s good to have peace of mind knowing how well cared for my husband is while at Glory Days. Since it is in a small setting he feels like he’s visiting with friends. The staff is wonderful and the surroundings are beautiful.”
